Farmi Rescue Winch

The Farmi winch is a rugged and dependable tool, which can be used on a wide variety of tasks. One use for the Farmi winch is as a rescue winch. For example, if you have a piece of equipment, (large tractors, combines or farm trucks) hopelessly mired in mud up to the axles, the Farmi winch will pull it out with ease.  The design of the Farmi winch will anchor the rescue tractor regardless of its ability to get traction.  Because the high pulling point forces the blade of the winch into the ground, the tractor remains anchored.

The pulling point of the Farmi winch is high.   This will force the blade of the winch into the ground, which will anchor the winch and tractor in place.  The Farmi JL501, JL601 and JL85 models have a rail, where the cable can be fastened to the winch if a pulley has been used to double the pulling capacity of the winch.

The picture to the right shows a shackle, which can be used as a second hook up point to the winch when doubling the pull.

The drawing above shows the winches pull being doubled.  By using an auxiliary block, one can have the cable return to the winch, halving the speed of the winch, while doubling it's pull capacity.

Farmi Winch used as a Wrecker

                                                                                                                                                                                                       Another use for the Farmi winch is as a wrecker winch.  Your typical wrecker is not well suited to handle many situations. The versatility of the Farmi winch allows you to reach to places that you would not be able to access with an “over the road “ wrecker.  The Farmi winch will also make an excellent recovery winch. Being able to reach into a deep gully to recover property lost in an accident is accomplished easily.  If you encounter an extremely heavy load you can double the pulling capacity of your Farmi winch by applying a pulley directly to the load, when running the cable back to winch. All Farmi winches come standard with 165 feet of cable.
